The surest way to cook from a cup recipe is to weigh the ingredient once and write down the grams. These are product types, not tested models: we describe what to check, and the links open Amazon.in search results so you can compare listings yourself.

Digital kitchen scale
Weighing removes the cup question entirely. Once you know a recipe’s grams, you can measure the same quantity again exactly.
What to check
A tare (zero) button, so you can zero the bowl and add ingredients one after another. NIST describes taring as a way to weigh several ingredients without washing extra cups.
A capacity that suits your cooking. NIST notes that 5 kg is a common choice for home kitchens.
A display that reads in grams, in steps of 1 g, with a platform large enough for your usual bowl.
Skip: Scales whose listing does not state the capacity and the step size.
